The February 28 Incident or the February 28 Massacre, also known as the 2.28 Incident (from), was an anti-government uprising in Taiwan that was violently suppressed by the Kuomintang-led Republic of China government, which killed thousands of civilians beginning on 28 February 1947. [1]
