Knanaya Catholics are descendants of a migrant group of Christians from Southern Mesopotamia (Middle East) to Cranganore (present Kodungalloor in the state of Kerala India) in AD 345 under the leadership of an international merchant Thomas Kinayi and Bishop Mar Joseph. [1]
