As of 2013, over 25 million Galaxy S units have been sold. The Galaxy S name continued on with the semi-related Snapdragon-based Galaxy S Plus and NovaThor-based Galaxy S Advance smartphones. The next major release of the series was the Samsung Galaxy S II. In 2012, Samsung introduced the dual SIM version of the Galaxy S, Samsung Galaxy S Duos.
