N Force was a small New Zealand Army unit of infantry and artillery which garrisoned the Australian territory of Norfolk Island between October 1942 and February 1944, during the Second World War. The New Zealand Army (Ngāti Tūmatauenga, "Tribe of the God of War") is the land component of the New Zealand Defence Force and comprises around 4,500 Regular Force personnel, 2,000 Territorial Force personnel and 500 civilians.
