Gene

In biology, the word gene has two meanings.

See HTR3E and Gene

Protein

Proteins are large biomolecules and macromolecules that comprise one or more long chains of amino acid residues.

See HTR3E and Protein

5-HT3 receptor

The 5-HT3 receptor belongs to the Cys-loop superfamily of ligand-gated ion channels (LGICs) and therefore differs structurally and functionally from all other 5-HT receptors (5-hydroxytryptamine, or serotonin receptors) which are G protein-coupled receptors. HTR3E and 5-HT3 receptor are ion channels and serotonin receptors.
