Asterix or The Adventures of Asterix (Astérix or Astérix le Gaulois) is a series of French comics. Dumnorix (spelled Dubnoreix on coins) was a chieftain of the Aedui, a Celtic tribe in Gaul in the 1st century B.C. He was the younger brother of Divitiacus, the Aedui druid and statesman.
