Difference between Bremsstrahlung and Chien-Shiung Wu

Bremsstrahlung vs. Chien-Shiung Wu

Bremsstrahlung, from bremsen "to brake" and Strahlung "radiation"; i.e., "braking radiation" or "deceleration radiation", is electromagnetic radiation produced by the deceleration of a charged particle when deflected by another charged particle, typically an electron by an atomic nucleus. Chien-Shiung Wu (May 31, 1912 – February 16, 1997) was a Chinese-American experimental physicist who made significant contributions in the field of nuclear physics.

Similarities between Bremsstrahlung and Chien-Shiung Wu

Bremsstrahlung and Chien-Shiung Wu have 6 things in common (in Unionpedia): Acceleration, Atomic nucleus, Beta decay, Beta particle, Electromagnetic radiation, Electron.

Acceleration

In physics, acceleration is the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time.

Atomic nucleus

The atomic nucleus is the small, dense region consisting of protons and neutrons at the center of an atom, discovered in 1911 by Ernest Rutherford based on the 1909 Geiger–Marsden gold foil experiment.

Beta decay

In nuclear physics, beta decay (β-decay) is a type of radioactive decay in which a beta ray (fast energetic electron or positron) and a neutrino are emitted from an atomic nucleus.

Beta particle

A beta particle, also called beta ray or beta radiation, (symbol β) is a high-energy, high-speed electron or positron emitted by the radioactive decay of an atomic nucleus during the process of beta decay.
