Difference between Clutter (radar) and Stealth technology

Clutter (radar) vs. Stealth technology

Clutter is a term used for unwanted echoes in electronic systems, particularly in reference to radars. Stealth technology also termed low observable technology (LO technology) is a sub-discipline of military tactics and passive electronic countermeasures, which cover a range of techniques used with personnel, aircraft, ships, submarines, missiles and satellites to make them less visible (ideally invisible) to radar, infrared, sonar and other detection methods.

Similarities between Clutter (radar) and Stealth technology

Clutter (radar) and Stealth technology have 3 things in common (in Unionpedia): Chaff (countermeasure), Radar, Radar cross-section.

Chaff (countermeasure)

Chaff, originally called Window by the British and Düppel by the Second World War era German Luftwaffe (from the Berlin suburb where it was first developed), is a radar countermeasure in which aircraft or other targets spread a cloud of small, thin pieces of aluminium, metallized glass fibre or plastic, which either appears as a cluster of primary targets on radar screens or swamps the screen with multiple returns.
