Difference between Duplex (telecommunications) and Time-division multiplexing

Duplex (telecommunications) vs. Time-division multiplexing

A duplex communication system is a point-to-point system composed of two or more connected parties or devices that can communicate with one another in both directions. Time-division multiplexing (TDM) is a method of transmitting and receiving independent signals over a common signal path by means of synchronized switches at each end of the transmission line so that each signal appears on the line only a fraction of time in an alternating pattern.

Similarities between Duplex (telecommunications) and Time-division multiplexing

Duplex (telecommunications) and Time-division multiplexing have 4 things in common (in Unionpedia): Duplex (telecommunications), Ethernet, IEEE 802.16, Multiplexing.
