The Fifth Federal Electoral District of Coahuila (V Distrito Electoral Federal de Coahuila) is one of the 300 Electoral Districts into which Mexico is divided for the purpose of elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of seven such districts in the state of Coahuila. The National Electoral Institute (Instituto Nacional Electoral, INE) (formerly Federal Electoral Institute (Instituto Federal Electoral, IFE)) is an autonomous, public organization responsible for organizing federal elections in Mexico, that is, those related to the election of the President of the United Mexican States and to the election of the members of the Lower and Upper Chambers that constitute the Congress of the Union.
