Kallithea (Greek: Καλλιθέα, meaning "the best view") is the 8th largest municipality in Greece (100,641 inhabitants, 2011 census) and the 4th biggest in the Athens urban area (following municipalities of Athens, Piraeus and Peristeri). The Neo Phaliron Velodrome (New Phaleron) was a velodrome and sports arena in Athens, Greece, used for the cycling events at the 1896 Summer Olympics, which was later to be the old Karaiskakis stadium and later the newer Karaiskakis Stadium.
