Difference between MSXML and XSLT

MSXML vs. XSLT

Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML), now legacy, was a set of services that allowed applications written in JScript, VBScript, and Microsoft development tools to build Windows-native XML-based applications. XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations) is a language for transforming XML documents into other XML documents, or other formats such as HTML for web pages, plain text or XSL Formatting Objects, which may subsequently be converted to other formats, such as PDF, PostScript and PNG.

Similarities between MSXML and XSLT

MSXML and XSLT have 5 things in common (in Unionpedia): C (programming language), C++, Document Object Model, XML, XML Schema (W3C).

C (programming language)

C (as in the letter ''c'') is a general-purpose, imperative computer programming language, supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope and recursion, while a static type system prevents many unintended operations.

Document Object Model

The Document Object Model (DOM) is a cross-platform and language-independent application programming interface that treats an HTML, XHTML, or XML document as a tree structure wherein each node is an object representing a part of the document.
