It is bounded by (clockwise) Jalal-Abad Region, Naryn Region, Xinjiang, China, Tajikistan, Batken Region, and Uzbekistan. Uzgen or Özgön (Өзгөн району) is a raion (district) of Osh Region in south-western Kyrgyzstan.
