Difference between PowerPC and PowerPC e700

PowerPC vs. PowerPC e700

PowerPC (with the backronym Performance Optimization With Enhanced RISC – Performance Computing, sometimes abbreviated as PPC) is a reduced instruction set computing (RISC) instruction set architecture (ISA) created by the 1991 Apple–IBM–Motorola alliance, known as AIM. The PowerPC e700 or NG-64 (Next Generation 64-bit) was the codenames of the long anticipated first 64-bit embedded RISC-processor cores built using Power Architecture technology designed by Freescale.

Similarities between PowerPC and PowerPC e700
