Mansur Muzafarov

Mozaffarov Mansur Äxmät ulı (pronounced), Mansur Mozaffarov; Tatar Cyrillic: Мозаффаров Мансур Әхмәт улы; Музафа́ров Мансу́р Ахме́тович., Muzafarov Mansur Akhmetovich; 1902 – 1966) was a Tatar composer and pedagogue. TASSR Honoured Worker of Culture (1950), People's Artist of TASSR (1964). Mansur was a son of Tatar emancipatress Mahruy Mozaffariä. Mansur Mozaffarov is one of the founding fathers of Tatar professional music. Since 1945 he lectured in Kazan Conservatory, and between 194 and 1961 headed Composition chain. Major works: Ğäliäbanu (1940), Zölxäbirä (wasn't staged) operas, symphony (1944), symphonic poems in commemoration of Ğabdulla Tuqay and Mullanur Waxitov (1952, 1956), two concertos for viola with orchestra (1959, 1962), vocal and instrumental concertos, recording and arrangement of folk songs. Mozaffarov was the Ğabdulla Tuqay TASSR State Prize laureate in 1959.

Salix Säydäş

Säydäşev Salix Camaletdin ulı (pronounced Salix Säydäş, also spelled Salikh Saydash(ev) (Tatar Cyrillic: Сәйдәш(ев) Салих Җамалетдин улы; Сайда́шев Сали́х Замалетди́нович, Saydashev Salikh Zamaletdinovich; 1900 – December 16, 1954) was a Tatar composer and conductor. People's Artist of Tatar ASSR (1951), Honoured Worker of Culture (1939). Salix Säydäş one of the founding fathers of Tatar professional music. Säydäşev gave a stimulus to development of different genres in Tatar music, such as opera, ballet, musical comedy, symphonic, choral, popular and pop music. The main part of his creative work was music for musical dramatic plays, such as The Blue Shawl (1926) and On Qandır (1932) by Kärim Tinçurin, The Employer by Taci Ğizzät (1928). In 1922-1948 (off and on) Säydäşev was a chief of musical division and conductor in Kazan-based Tatar Academic Theatre. At that time Säydäşev also arranged concerts. The Salix Säydäşev Museum opened in Kazan in 1990. The State Grand Concert Hall of Tatarstan was named after Säydäşev by the Decree of the President of Tatarstan from December 15, 2000. Also, one of the streets in the Vakhitov district in Kazan is named after Säydäşev.

Vasili Vinogradov

Vinogradov Vasily Ivanovich Vasili Vinogradov; Виногра́дов Васи́лий Ива́нович; 1874–1948) was an ethnically Russian Tatar opera composer, violinist and pedagogue. TASSR Honoured Worker of Culture (1944). In collaboration with Ğäziz Älmöxämmädev and Soltan Ğäbäşi he composed first Tatar operas, Saniä (1925) and Eşçe (The Worker) (1930). Vinogradov also composed many symphonic concertos, based on traditional Tatar and Bashkir music, music for dramatic plays, arrangement of folk music.
