A stamp mill (or stamp battery or stamping mill) is a type of mill machine that crushes material by pounding rather than grinding, either for further processing or for extraction of metallic ores. [1]

Holmbush is a village in Cornwall, England that is situated half a mile east of St Austell (where the population at the 2011 census was included.). It was a centre for tin and copper mining in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, with a few houses to the south of the A390 road.
