Alan Gordon Barraclough Haselhurst, Baron Haselhurst, Kt, PC (born 23 June 1937) is a British Conservative politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Saffron Walden from 1977 to 2017, having represented Middleton and Prestwich as MP from 1970 to 1974. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players each on a cricket field, at the centre of which is a rectangular pitch with a target at each end called the wicket (a set of three wooden stumps upon which two bails sit).
