The union was a result of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 and came into existence on 30 March 1867. Giuseppe Grezar (25 November 1918 – 4 May 1949) was an Italian football player, who played as a midfielder for Torino FC and died in the Superga air disaster together with the whole Grande Torino team.
