The Communist University of the Toilers of the East (KUTV) (Коммунистический университет трудящихся Востока; also known as the Far East University) was a revolutionary training school for important Communist political leaders. Nikos Zachariadis (Νίκος Ζαχαριάδης; 27 April 1903 – 1 August 1973) was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) from 1931 to 1956, and one of the most important personalities in the Greek Civil War.
