Difference between Cortactin and Transferrin

Cortactin vs. Transferrin

Cortactin (from "cortical actin binding protein") is a monomeric protein located in the cytoplasm of cells that can be activated by external stimuli to promote polymerization and rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton, especially the actin cortex around the cellular periphery. Transferrins are iron-binding blood plasma glycoproteins that control the level of free iron (Fe) in biological fluids.

Similarities between Cortactin and Transferrin

Cortactin and Transferrin have 5 things in common (in Unionpedia): Gene, Macrophage, Monomer, Neoplasm, Protein–protein interaction.

Gene

In biology, a gene is a sequence of DNA or RNA that codes for a molecule that has a function.
