Difference between Diode and Through-hole technology

Diode vs. Through-hole technology

A diode is a two-terminal electronic component that conducts current primarily in one direction (asymmetric conductance); it has low (ideally zero) resistance in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in the other. Through-hole technology (tht), also spelled "thru-hole", refers to the mounting scheme used for electronic components that involves the use of leads on the components that are inserted into holes drilled in printed circuit boards (PCB) and soldered to pads on the opposite side either by manual assembly (hand placement) or by the use of automated insertion mount machines.

Similarities between Diode and Through-hole technology

Diode and Through-hole technology have 5 things in common (in Unionpedia): Integrated circuit, Light-emitting diode, Printed circuit board, Relay, Semiconductor.

Integrated circuit

An integrated circuit or monolithic integrated circuit (also referred to as an IC, a chip, or a microchip) is a set of electronic circuits on one small flat piece (or "chip") of semiconductor material, normally silicon.
