Difference between FDOA and Multilateration

FDOA vs. Multilateration

Frequency difference of arrival (FDOA), also frequently called differential Doppler (DD), is a technique analogous to TDOA for estimating the location of a radio emitter based on observations from other points. Multilateration (MLAT) is a surveillance technique based on the measurement of the difference in distance to two stations at known locations by broadcast signals at known times.

Similarities between FDOA and Multilateration

FDOA and Multilateration have 1 thing in common (in Unionpedia): Cross-correlation.

Cross-correlation

In signal processing, cross-correlation is a measure of similarity of two series as a function of the displacement of one relative to the other.
