Difference between Human evolution and Introgression

Human evolution vs. Introgression

Human evolution is the evolutionary process that led to the emergence of anatomically modern humans, beginning with the evolutionary history of primates – in particular genus Homo – and leading to the emergence of Homo sapiens as a distinct species of the hominid family, the great apes. Introgression, also known as introgressive hybridization, in genetics is the movement of a gene (gene flow) from one species into the gene pool of another by the repeated backcrossing of an interspecific hybrid with one of its parent species.

Similarities between Human evolution and Introgression

Human evolution and Introgression have 5 things in common (in Unionpedia): Archaic human admixture with modern humans, Gene, Gene pool, Genetics, Genome.

Archaic human admixture with modern humans

There is evidence for interbreeding between archaic and modern humans during the Middle Paleolithic and early Upper Paleolithic.
