For director Sandip Ray who mainly does Feluda films written by Satyajit Ray, this is a non-Feluda full-length fiction after long time. Last were Nishijapon (2005) and Hitlist (2009). The film released on 1 January 2016. West Bengal (Paśchimbāṅga) is an Indian state, located in Eastern India on the Bay of Bengal.
