Dawei (ဓဝဲါ,; ทวาย, RTGS: Thawai,; formerly known as Tavoy) is a city in south-eastern Myanmar and is the capital of the Tanintharyi Region, formerly known as the Tenasserim Division, on the eastern bank of the Dawei River. [1]
